Touched by three oceans and connected by grand waterways, Canada and water are emotionally and geographically inseparable. When it’s frozen, we skate on it. When it’s warm enough — and sometimes even when it isn’t — we swim in it. Each year, nearly three million Canadians take swimming lessons and millions more swim in pools, lakes and oceans. You don’t start swimming to win a gold medal. You learn to swim because you’re Canadian.
Twofold Creative was asked to design the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games media guides. Keeping with Swimming Canada’s new branding, the guides were styled with a simple yet bold look. A two-page spread was created to showcase up and coming swimmers. Strong imagery was carefully selected in order to highlight the strengths of each athlete. The project required lots of attention to detail in order to assure that the information was accurate and consistent throughout both guides. The result is a timeless publication that can be enjoyed to look at in print or online.
